Our Story

Jed and Alyssa have built their lives on a shared foundation of faith, family, and service. They were both raised in Christian homes in Pasco, Washington and graduated from a private Christian school in nearby Richland. After high school, Jed attended Howard College on a full rodeo scholarship, following his passion for rodeo that began in high school. After college, Jed and Alyssa started dating and their relationship quickly grew, They were married in 2007—now celebrating 19 years together.

Early in their marriage, Jed served three years in the U.S. Navy, primarily stationed in Virginia. After his service, they returned home to Pasco, where they worked on the family farm and began planting deeper roots in their faith and community. In 2010, they started attending Calvary Chapel Tri-Cities, where they developed a strong love for the teaching of God’s Word. During that time, Jed began serving as an usher, marking the beginning of a long journey of ministry.

In 2014, they felt called to move to Walla Walla, Washington, to continue their walk at Calvary Chapel Walla Walla. Over the next year, they faithfully served and grew within the church body. They ended up moving to North Dakota in 2015 as Jed took on a job as a Deputy Sheriff in Mackenzie County in the oilfields. Feeling called to move back home to Walla Walla in 2017, they returned to Calvary Chapel. In 2018, Jed stepped into the role of elder, and not long after, he and Alyssa answered the call to lead the youth ministry alongside close friends Spencer and Emily Kelty. Their heart for investing in the next generation became a central part of their ministry.

At home, Jed and Alyssa are blessed with four children—Braelynn (12), Garrison (10), and twins Noelle and Judah (7)—who are a constant source of joy and purpose. As a family, they strive to live out their faith daily, seeking to honor God in both the big and small moments of life. They love fishing, camping and hunting together as a family.

Through years of serving at Calvary Chapel Walla Walla, the Lord began stirring in their hearts a new calling. Though the path was not immediately clear, they committed to prayer and seeking His direction. In time, God faithfully revealed the next step—leading them to Moscow, Idaho, where they are stepping out in faith, ready to serve Him in whatever way He calls.
